Seriously ZINC lozenges. Try Coldeeze brand. They are wonderful. My doc told me they can reduce your cold symptoms significantly and boost immune system. They don't taste terrible either. Try them!

Before I was pregnant, I swore by Nyquil. For one reason only...It knocked me out.
I call it, "The anytime, snuffy, sneezy, coughy, achy, how the hell did I end up passed out on the kitchen floor medicine".
I used Dayquil during the day at work. It works okay, but I don't know if there's anything that just takes care of all the symptoms without you just being asleep and oblivious to it.

Sleep, and Orange Juice or Tea. Maybe Sudafed or Nyquil & Dayquil. Thats what works for me.

Alka Seltzer's cold formulas work really well. Gulping it down is the hard part but it works really fast and doesn't give you that loopy feeling that some medicines (like Sudafed) do.

Nyquil. It works wonders on aches and pains and you'll feel better the next day. Works really good for head colds.

I always take the alka seltzer pills (not the ones you drop into the water) but they do have pills and they work wonders for the common cold. I do hope you feel better.
