The original name Lucifer, "the light-bearer",was given to the planet Venus. It rises first to bring a new day. Lucifer, the Son of the Morning! Indeed a strange name to give to the Spirit of Darkness. It is he who bears the light, and with its splendid light blinds those with a feeble, selfish soul. I suppose being the Spirit of Darkness fit what the bibles' story was looking for in an angels name. I'm not familiar with the name Halal.

Interpretation: Why does the planet Venus have an alias, Lucifer, which is the same as the alias for Satan.
Answer: It's rather a coincidence. Both have there roots in Latin, although really are not related.
In the Vulgate, an early-5th-century translation of the Bible into Latin by Jerome, Lucifer occurs in Isaiah 14:12-14 as a translation of the Greek word heosphorus ("dawn-bearer").
In Roman astronomy, the planet we know as Venus, was originally called Lucifer. By the time of the above translation, it had been renamed Venus to honor the Roman goddess of love.

Religious traditions are very old and often borrowed from an earlier tradition. Also, translations over the centuries can give us different names.
