How long is your cycle? was the second bleeding like your usual period?

There is a possibility of implantation bleeding, that occurs in 1 out of every 3 women. This happens a week prior to your expected period. It is often very, very light, only noticed when wiping after a visit to the loo & doesnt require the use of sanitary towels or tampons. The length of implantation bleeding varies from woman to woman, but there has been reports of it being noticed just the once or for 2 days & anything upto 6 days. Sometimes you may experience mild cramping before or after the implantation bleeding, but not with the bleeding. It is normal. Therefor leading to confusion as to weither it is a period or not.

However if the bleeding was like a usual period, it may have just been early. Heavy bleeding, requiring sanitary towels or tampons isnt associated with implantation bleeding.

I think I have experienced Implantation bleeding as it was far from anything normal for me. I have done lots of net research and what I have said was what had come of my findings.

the second period is not actually a period its called spotting. It is a lot lighter than a period and will only require a panty liner. This is when the implantation happens when the egg inplants itself into the wall of the uterus. If you needed more than a panty liner to catch the blood then this was more likely to be a period.

In this case i would probably say that you are not pregnant, however take another test in a few days and start lookin out for sypmtoms such as nausea and swollen breasts.

If in doub go to your doc he'll sort things out for you :)

The period you had on the 26th was it shorter or lighter than normal? It may have been implantation bleeding.... When is your
January period due to start...You may be able to take another test now. HCG levels vary from woman to woman and pregnancy to pregnancy so it may register. May I recommend a first response hpt, it is the test that registers the lowest amount of hcg for hpts.

Good luck
