It depends on your body and how fast hair grows on you. I know people who have had hair by the age of 12 and some who still don't have a beard at 24. Good luck, and remember it's not how you look, it's how you act.

Hey, it is less common not to grow a beard by 16, but there are still a significant proportion of men who fall under this category. Sometimes it takes a little while for the testosterone to stimulate the hair follicles at certain sites in the body. You should develop the ability to grow some kind of beard sooner or later, but it may not necessarily be a full beard like some people.
Look at the bright side.. less shaving to do!!

Guess what? At sixteen you are are still a kid. Shaving is a pain in the butt and most men I've met admit to hating to have to shave, so enjoy your beardless condition for the present, when you get a beard you will likely not like it much. As for when you might expect to get facial hair...that is unique for each man, some develop it very young, others don't until well into their twenties. You need to be more concerned about who you are and a lot less concerned about what you look like.

We all mature at a different age. I've known some guys who couldn't grow a beard until they were in their early 20's. Be glad you have a babyface, you'll still look young way longer then your friends.

It all depends on you family genes. My brother is 17 and can grow a beard faster than any of his teachers at school. I would ask your father to see when he first grew a beard.

Ask your dad, older brother, or first cousins if you have any to see what happened with them.. My brotherinlaws didn't start shaving for real until they were 17, and grew about a foot that year also.

Honey, you're 16 years old - cherish your youthful appearance while you can.
On that note, my brother started getting facial hair when he was 17, my boyfriend (now 25) still can't grow one. ;-)
Everyone is different, check with a male relative when he started to see it - that should give you a ball park idea.
