If its a dissolution (no fault, no property, no kids) there are papers you can purchase at like Office Max, Staples, etc. that are standard and you only need to fill in the blanks, both sign and file at the courthouse.
Best advise is to contact an attorney, who will instruct you on what do to (grounds, child support, restraining orders, etc.). Did the spouse leave you? Establish that you were abandoned, have the locks changed. Don't know where they are? You may have to place an ad announcing that you are filing for divorce (in Ohio the ad has to run once a week for 6 weeks), to give them a chance to respond.
Good luck, but contact an attorney as soon as you can!

It depends on the state that you live in but the best way is to find a Board Certified Lawyer to file for you. THey can lead you through the process. Now it is pricy in the short term but if it is what you want, it does pay off.

See a lawyer. He'll tell you exactly what to do. (And how much it's going to cost.)
