People are obsessed with calling me a "psychopath" even though I am not one. No matter how much I say "no, I'm not one," they just become more and more persistent all of the time. I do not know whether this makes a difference or not but I have autism and only 2 of my comrades know of it and the rest don't. I refuse to go on a pity party and I just want to make them stop calling me a "psychopath" but how?

Tell them if you keep getting named the name, you just may play the game, so watch out. Also tell them it is not the voices in your head that bother you but the voices in theirs that do.

A psychopath might understand the difference between “right” and “wrong”, but it’s for the most part an intellectual understanding, they don’t really feel it. Most autstics do have an emotional understanding of what is “right”, and what is “wrong”. Feelings about what is right and wrong, of course, are pretty much emotionally based, even though there is an obvious evolutionary logic behind it. I have a feeling that the human race would of never succeededat least as a social species-for this long if we were all psychopaths.

You can't...

Remember this sweetie...

"You have no control over how people will chose to treat you or how they judge you. What you do have control over however, is how you allow it to effect you and what you chose to do as a result"

You have a medical condition and although you shouldn't have to advertise it to the world in order to gain some peace of mind when interacting with people... Most people are too ignorant to assume the correct reason for your behavior. Chalk it up to their defect and not yours... At least you were born that way. They have no excuse! Pity them! You're fine!

Sometimes, you just have to conform somewhat for your own head you know? Chose your battles and learn to become a master of your own emotions. There will always be as*sholes in your life... They never just go away. Rather than always trying to force others into your mold and expectations of them, change yourself instead and in the process, you deal with all of them all at the same time by rendering their taunts and assumptions of you ineffective and for nothing!

I'm not sure of your age. If you are in school and under the age of 18 then this is normal behavior and you'll just have to ignore it. This happens to everyone. In most jurisdictions you can't hit someone for simply calling you a name. Even if you could you wouldn't do much to dispell the name and you'd be very busy between fights and hospitals.
It happens to everyone.

I know it's rotton to hear people say things like that about you. If I were you, i'd do my best to ignore all the bad things that people say. What makes them so smart anyhow?? Stick with those people who know you best and treat you the way you deserve to be treated. You simply can't allow others to hurt you anymore.
Psychopathic behavior is that of someone who feels no sense of accountablility. They are the ones who continue to do bad things and never see it as their fault. They have no care for others feelings.
If people keep calling you that, then it only shows their own ignorance. You obviously have respect for yourself and others so you are not psycho.
Take care of yourself and make the decision to not allow others to have enough power over you to make you hurt like that.
(((((hugs))))))

Is there something you do that would cause them to call you that. Not that it would give them the right to but are you causing bodily harm or anything. I dont know if your autism would have anything. If you arent being mean to anyone, just tell them ''takes one to know one''.
Would it be a bad thing if more people knew about your autism?

there is no legal way to control the behavior of others. All you can control is your reaction to it. You may wish to examine the behaviors that have caused them to view you in this way. "If 10 people tell you you're dead, it's time to consider falling down."
