It should be obvious to everyone that CLinton's congress was on a witch hunt, although that doesn't excuse him for lying under oath. But before he lied, they spent many mkany taxpayer dollars trying to dig something up on him, for the sakeof politics. Anyone who disagrees is playing partisan politics.

By your logic, why is Congress interested in a Congressman's sex life - Foley should still be a Rep, right?
Wrong. Foley took advantage of his position to coerce a subordinate half his age into having a relationship. Now in Clinton's case, it was an intern and she was star-struck and not coerced, but those facts came out after the fact (and after Clinton had lied about the affair under Oath, lying under Oath being the crime for which Scooter Libby is presently being tried), and it came after a very long history of allegations, some more credible than others, of Clinton's coercing or outright forcing himself upon subordinates ranging from campaign workers' daughters to secretaries.
It's not that he had sex, and it's not that he committed adultery. This wasn't The American President with the only difference being that Clinton was married. Clinton wasn't having a discreet affair with some 40-something lobbyist. He had a history of allegedly using his power and his position to force himself upon subordinates, including subordinates half his age. If you want to believe that the dozens of allegations dating back to his days as AG in Arkansas were all made up by this vast right wing conspiracy, go ahead, you have a right to be a true believer, but you'll sound just like the people who said the allegations against Nixon were all part of a vast left wing conspiracy.
Bill Clinton's policies - not his rhetoric but what actually was put into place when he was President, were not too bad and in many cases good, especially when Robert Rubin was involved. But referring to his "sex life" as if it was JFK messing around with famous actresses or female diplomats is just not honest - he used his position to force himself on secretaries making $15K a year and on interns in grad school. That's not a "sex life" - it's a pattern of predatory sexual conduct. Clinton was a heterosexual version of Foley.

This is just my humble opinion....but you need to reach out and read more!
We have taken this "war" to Iraq in order to keep our own soil free from terrorism!
Terrorists killed, in less than one hour, (NYC) what it's taken terrorists years to accomplish in Iraq.
When you're dealing with thugs who would use their own children to further their endeavors....there is a couple that hates you so much that they will kill their six month old baby in order to kill you, I am describing a level of ferocity, and a level of savagery beyond anything we have tried to deal with.
There are people on the planet who hate you! They are 15-25 year old males who are willing to die as long as they get to kill you! I've simply described the warrior culture which has been true historically for 6 or 7 thousand years.
This is a serious problem that will lead to a serious debate about the 1st Amendment, but I think that the national security threat of losing an American city to a nuclear weapon, or losing several million Americans to a biological attack is so real that we need to proactively, now, develop the appropriate rules of engagement as we've done up to this point by taking our "war" to Iraq instead of waging the war on our own soil!
It saddens me deeply to see how we are so quick to "judge" those who are so much more in the know than the average citizen walking the street.
All I can say is this....open your eyes and your brain....THINK!!!
By the way....Clinton WAS impeached...Indicted!!! Just a note for you to see how some responses you see on here ARE based upon ignorance!

I don't recall any congress being interested in a president's sex life. I do recall them being interested in a president lying while under oath in a court of law.
I do remember a lot of Dems making a big deal our of some Republicans' sex lives.

It makes good news. Why does anyone care about anyone's sex life? Celebrities, public officials, sports stars. They are all the same.
Politicians speak to the benefit of living a moral life. They don't always live it though.

And why don't they complain about "Dubbya's" snorting cocaine and being a town drunk in the past, like they did with Bill Clinton and his smoking a joint issue...It just depends on who is controlling the House I would guess. I personally don't give a rats *** about any ones personal life including the current or past Presidents.I just want them to be intelligent and know how to do their job,and let's be honest, Bush is not the sharpest tool in the shed.

Why does anyone care about the lifestyles of celebrities? It's something to talk about. In the case of politicians however, their sexual behavior/misbehavior indicates not only their values/lack of values but also their weaknesses and how easily they are suseptible to blackmail in order to keep them quiet about certain issues.

It never hurt Clinton, that's why the Senate never impeached him. The Republicans couldn't find anything on Clinton and had to resort to that type of trash talk. There are still Neocons going on over Clinton's private parts still today 9 years later, what an immoral joke they are.....ROTFLMAO Bush on the other hand has committed numerous crimes and hiding as a war president as a cover.
