The coronation of Queen Elizabeth 2nd took place on the 2cnd June 1953 at Westminster Abbey.The ceremony was performed by the Archbishop of Canterbury,Dr. Geoffrey Fisher.
The BBC broadcast began at 10am when Sylvia Peters introduced Berkely Smith, the commentator outside Buckingham Palace and ended at 11-30 pm when Richard Dimbleby, who was commentating on the ceremony said goodnight outside the empty abbey.
