In tools > internet options > save history - set this to zero days. you can also delete the saved history of websites that you have visited from here, do this after every time you use the computer and it will be difficult for anybody to see where you've been.

with the newer versions of windows (XP, media centre) you can set up a separate username protected with a password so that only you can access your files and web history. click on help in the start menu to find out how to do this.

or buy yourself a new computer and don't let anyone else use it.

Go to Start - control Panel - user accounts.
Check your account is the Administrator account then set a password to log in. Don't tell your son the password.
If your lad has already altered the settings to make himself the administrator then you need to get him to change it or buy your own copy of XP, have someone else install it for you and set yourself as the administrator.

Just put a password on it, to stop them looking. Or control your kids and show whose boss!
