true. beauty always lies in the eyes of the beholder. but that doesn't necessarily mean that the lady, whoever you might be referring to, is ugly to others, as what you have perceived her. it could mean sour grape. haven't you heard of the story of the sourgrape?
i think it is advisable to ignore other people's opinion because you can never trust anyone except yourself. i think you should have a very sound mind when making decision or making judgement on someone and not rely too much on others. if you cannot make your own judgement, there is a very high risk for you to trust other people because you won't know if that person has a distorted view.
again, beauty is not on the appearance only. some shallow minded people has a very superficial view on beauty. they usually judge them as beauty just by their appearance. to me, i have a very wide range of values by which i determine them as part of the element to what 'beauty' is comprised of. this may include intelligence, personality, characteristics and many more, let alone its physical attractiveness. so, appearance is only part of the requirement but not important. sooner or later, beauty is going to fade away and you'll find yourself as dumb as a block.
last thing i want to clarify is that i disagree with the belief that ugly ladies are smarter than beautiful ones, though, there may be some flaws in beautiful ones where they might be good at studies but for some unknown reason deprive them from thinking rationally.
please don't ask 'so, what is your point?', 'what are you talking about?', 'what do you mean?' blah blah blah... read carefully and you'll understand what i am talking about. everything is written in details. you'll find all the information you want in the message.

I agree. Beauty really is in the eye of the beholder. What one consideres beautiful others may not, but the only thing that really matters is how beautiful YOU think someone is.
Everyone is made to be unique and have their own special features. If we all looked the same, that would be so very boring. I like to think that there's someone for everyone and that even if someone might not seem attractive to many people, the only person that really needs to be attracted to that person is the one that God made for them.

Yes, that is very true! Beauty is in the eye of the beholder because each of us sees things differently and find different things attractive.

yes, I absolutely think it's true. when you really care for someone, they become the most beautiful person you know, inside and out. Other people who don't know the person the way you do probably won't see what you see, but that's on them.

Yes. Depending on where you are, the cultural standards for beauty differ. Therefore, no matter where you are in the world, someone thinks you are the most magnificent creature to ever walk the Earth. *smile*

Ummm...yes. I would say that , practically every day me & my friends have a discuaaion/disagreement as to who we think looks good & who doesn't. Everyone has their own opinions/tastes (which is why even ugly people have someone who thinks they are "beautiful"
