The Patriots are pretty well stock upon pick for the draft, 5 picks in the first 3 rounds. Whats the chance that make a trade to try and get up in the draft to pick Calvin Johnson or Dwaynne Jarret.

That would be good...But you also need to think about some defense. :) The defense is very good...but they need to put more people in the pipeline.

The word on sports radio is they won't pay big money for WRs. So they won't draft one in the 1st round barring some stud happens to fall to them. They will most likely use their picks to find a LB and a possible replacement for Samuel's. Otherwise there going to get some support for the D and O line with later picks.

Samuel's will want big money and the Pats won't pay it. So that leaves us free agency journeyman.

They tend to shy away from receivers in the first round. They tend to stockpile linemen via draft picsks and fill in the LB and WR spots via free agency due to the complexity of their offense and defense.

The Patriots do need wideouts. They are playing with mostly castoffs from other teams, with the exsception of Troy Brown, who may be getting too old to be effective.

Not too likely. They do need WRs though. I think they go by what they can find. Just remember Colston was taken in the 6th round.

It would be good if they got Calvin Johnson and/or Chansi Stucky from Clemson
