Oh man that would be funny. Goes from a head coach to the coordinator of your former employee.

Those rumors are absolutely baseless! Pete Carroll could have been head coach of any team that needed a coach if he wanted to leave USC... because he didn't they opted to take Kiffin and other less experienced coaches. I personally hate Pete Carroll, but have to admit he's an excellent coach. Why would he want to leave the millions/year he's making? Instead of 6-7 draft picks each year he gets the top recruits in the country and will likely make a solid run for another championship next year! Hell freezes over before he leaves one of the most successful teams in college football for the least successful team in the NFL. You saw it here!

Not even no. Hell No! Carroll would be a moron to leave the college scene. Every year hes got a chance to take the Trojans to the National Title game, and win! Why give that up to go to the OAKLAND RAIDERS?! Who in there right mind would want to play there, more or less coach there! Don't be insane. Pete Carroll will retire as a head coach for the Trojans or some other college team. He's just not NFL material.

As awesome as that would be, it ain't happening. Pete Carroll is staying put at USC. Besides, if Carroll was considering the Raiders, wouldn't Al Davis have pursued him to be the HEAD COACH instead of the defensive coordinator?

Why?, Rob Ryan did a great job with the defense and he under contract. Offense was the Raiders problem. Pete Carroll has Dream Job in USC, He is King in LA. He is getting top recruits from all the US. Great Recruiter

I seriously doubt Pete Carroll will leave paradise in Southern Cal to trying to coach the raiders with Al davis breathing down his neck. He has to much going for himself at USC to give up a potential dynasty and another national championship to coach a train wreck of a team. But i do think Carroll will come back to the NFL for the right team that has to the potential to win early

No way he will because the raiders resigned there def coordinator to a longer deal because he is way better the Carrol and had the NUMBER 3 ranked defense in the NFL!

Lance Kiffin is an ineffective offensive coordinator who has no experience as a head coach. Another in a long line of bad decisions by Al Davis.

Carroll isn't stupid enough to go back to the NFL on the heels of his USC success, especially to sit under a 31 year old boss! Granted, this kid has proven himself to a degree, but Carroll isn't going to go from king to commoner merely for another NFL shot when he has all the job security in the world for the moment.
