I assume many have been here from the start and it just build up in time. Best Answers can come easy if your the only one to answer as many times people just pick you as the Best Answer. I have answered many questions like that, I was the one and only and someone just pick me for the points to pick.
I must admit there are some of us who seem addicted to this and spend a lot of time here. But, it is a cheap form of entertainment and education when we look for answers to a question.
I wonder if one day, Yahoo pay for our psychoanalysis to rehabilitate us from this addiction. Ha!

Is it a joke?? No not really just a different way to answer questions -- Yahoo has people who answer 16000 questions and have a high percentage of "best" answers?? some give really good answers and some pad their best answers --

It's very easy to manipulate the figures. All you need to do is set up two accounts and everytime you have an option to vote on a question you've answered vote yours as best. You will probably have noticed that quite often if you have a best answer choosen by voters it's only 1 or maybe 2 people who have actually voted at all on that question so it's pretty easy to do. Of course anybody prepared to do that really does need to get a life and might as well spend 24/7 online.

Yes, I saw one who has 280,000 points and when I emailed him, he told me he has no problem getting 3,000 to 5,000 points a day.
I figured he has to be on 12 hours a day and average 41 answers an hour. Obviously doesn't read any of the other answers.
