I love doing a thin line, so what I use is Bare Escentuals, they have shadows you can use as shadows or eyeliners, there in a powder substance so if you use a little water it will turn into liquid, the great thing about this is that you can make thin lines when you add a little water or you can make thicker lines when you add less, the important thing is the BRUSH! having the correct brush will give you the thiness of the line, they have a great brush for that!

a super thin look can only be achieved using a liquid eyeline with a super skinny eyeliner brush.. then close ur lid.. hold it taut at the outer corner.. look from the other eye.. and apply the eyeliner as close to lashes as possible.. or just make tiny dots and then lightly connect the dots.
try the ysl liquid liners.. the brush is great

I personally like using liquid, but I have shaky hands, so using the brush doesn't really work for me. If you're like me, then you should get the liquid kind that sorta looks like a marker. Just roam around in the makeup department and you'll see what I'm talking about. you can also buy a really skinny pencil, but those hurt!

I would use liquid because the pencil is thick and chunky and the liquid doesn't rub off tha well like the pencil does.

Use liquid. It takes a while to perfect as it is easy to put it on too thick.
Persevere and it will come to you.

liquid eye liner is best but does take practice.
