it really depends on the college you want to get into. some colleges will bend the rules aka accept lower scores for a good athlete. Research the colleges you will apply to and find out what they will accept. obviously is your score is lower than what they are looking for, take the test again.

What year did you take the test? If it was before 2005, then you scored a perfect score. If it was after 2005, the highest score you could attain would be 2400. If you scored 1600 and took the test in 2006, then you didn't do so well. Either way though, you seriously need to work on grammar and spelling so that you can write an essay that will be outstanding. hav, wanna, gud, and shud are NOT words!

I would take it again. I believe they still take your highest score. Study some more and take it again. Sorry, but 1600 out of 2400 is not a very good score.
I'd also cut out the text message typing style. That may be what your friends do to write to each other, but once in college, it's a bad habit to keep.
You're really going to have to work hard to improve that SAT score. Ignoring the text message spelling, I did notice the use of the wrong verb. It's "take" the test again, not "give" the test again. That's pretty basic English. That tells me you're really going to have to work on Reading Comp as well as the essay portion of the SAT.

At first I thought: "What? That's a perfect score!" Then I remembered they changed the scale since I was in high school.
Is it out of 2400 now? If it is you should try taking the test again. Get an SAT review book or take a class to help you.
Good luck :)

Do you know which scale you are on because that can affect whether it was a good grade or a middle grade.
Take a look at your college choices and see if you can get in with what you have if you can't then retake if you can go for it. There's no reason why you wouldn't be able to get onto a course with what you have.

first, of all things...if you scored a 1600, then you shouldn't be worrying about what college you should go to, the colleges should be worrying about getting you to go to their school! a 1600 is a perfect score...
