I stopped watching years ago - see it on when I'm at my moms and know too much of what's going on. LOLOL

I don't know. Is Carlie still alive buried in that casket? Is Marlena still possessed by the Devil or is she being held captive by Stefano like Princess Gina? How come Frisco Jones is on now? Is Maison Blanche still on? How come Izzy B's daughter Belle was a baby one day and a teenager the next? Speaking of which Martha Madison is ugly, although she looks more like Marlena than the old Belle. I miss the old Belle, Kirsten Storms. She's HOT but you have to watch GH to see her now, which is better anyway ;-) Oh, to answer your question you can stop watching any soap for awhile and still be able to figure out what's going on and catch up after a couple episodes. For DOOL there hasn't been any decent story lines since MacDonald Carey died so you're not missing much either way.

Yes!

I've been watching off and on for over twenty - five years. Sometimes I will go over a year without watching. All I need to do is keep up on the summaries and recaps from the check out stand mags and the online DOOL fan sites.

I am presently in a "Days-less" phase. I don't have time to watch and Tivo isn't worth the effort.

LOL, you are so correct. I missed All My children for almost 2 years, and then I tuned in one day and dang if the same people were not still cheating with the same people, some had been through a few by then. I am always amazed at how the Housewifes, and Business women always wake up in bed with their hair all fixed and their makeup on

Yes. I think its like that with all soaps. They use the same storyline over and over and drag them out but its still addicting. Even if you don't know whats going on just watch for a couple days and the flashbacks will catch you up. HAHA!

You can do it with any Soap Opera. Honestly I don't watch them so never tried it, but really they are the same basic thing all the time, they just change which Character this or that is happening to.

Isn't it crazy....the kids grew up so fast, and now they have a repeat of their parents lives. You can go years of missing it and the same stuff is happening again.
