It does sound like a ABS (break) sensor.. Get it checked quick... I had a problem similar to this on a Tahoe but the abs system problem was in the back, under the truck. near the front of the fuel tank.! It drainded the battery also!

Through a Chevrolet diagnostic check (under your dash) on board computer memory may have the problem stored already. Unfortunately it's a hard problem to chase down. I have herd about these problems in Chevy Tahoes and Pickups. No two answers have been the same. You and I could chase wires with a volt meter for days and most likely not find it. A Chevy dealer will have a narrower playing field as to where to start. I'd check for low voltage leaks to the starter solenoid, all causeries located on your fuse panel located under the hood. Check by going all terminals for electrical leaks . Be sure to set your volt meter to it's lowest range - 1.5 volts.

get to a repair shop pronto. You have a bearing going bad. that is your gear grinding sound.
If That bearing gets so hot, that the heat melts into your ABS wheel brake senser, your looking at about 300$ or so to fix it.
It happened to my car as well.

maximum probable spark, gas, air, or timing. SPARK: positioned a timing easy on the middle extreme voltage cord of the distributor to work out in case you have become spark. Distributor (cap or factors interior), coil, impartial secure practices change, and so on. gas: gas pump, gas filter out (numerous, perhaps, seem interior the tank the place the wires and tubes circulate in for the sock filter out, and seem decrease than the automobile for a filter out interior the gas line, and seem decrease than the hood the place the gas line is provided in for the different filter out) AIR: Clogged air filter out (many times no longer so badly clogged that the automobile won't initiate). TIMING: There are 2 styles of timing (mechanical and electric). you have gotten broken a timing chain/belt (that's mechanical). you have gotten the incorrect electric timing (yet once you have no longer replaced it, that's in all risk suitable). nonetheless, positioned a timing easy on it, linked to the suited spark plug and spot in the adventure that your timing is interior of specs.

Its not the battery, it must be something that is draining it.
