often in stores, there are many people with name tags/badges,,,, some may be off work shopping, some like myself doing inventory work,,,,,, some may be stocking shelves for a particular vendor,,,,,, customers also ask me about things in the store, when they see me working,, without noticing that my name badge says a different company,,,, so i guess after being told , no i dont work for,,,,,,,,, they now ask?

At times team members hide the fact that they work there. Hide there badges which makes it hard to tell whom is an employee.

A better question is why if you go to some of these store such as walmart kmart etc if you need help you can't find team members or if they see that your going to ask a question they run and hide?

I used to work for Long's Drug's, I wore a Long's green polo shirt with a name badge, black pants, and pushed a pricing cart around that was full of new price changes. When people would come up to me and ask me if I worked there? I would look at them, and say no, and keep walking. I figured I didn't want to hear their next question, if the first one was that stupid.

I worked at wal mart in high school and when I was working I had the bright blue vest with a large yellow smiley face on the back and they ALWAYS asked if I worked there. I bit my tongue sooo many times to keep from replying something like, "Nope, I hijacked this vest for the fashion statement."

There just stupid. I was walking around a store in my work uniform which is completly different from what the store workers were (cause I don't work in a store) and some drunk woman came up to me and asked me where the tampons where.

I don't think woman are ment to ask guys where they are. It's like me asking a woman where the condoms are.
