Freedom of SPEECH (not SPEACH) does not include what a private business allows. Its yahoos website, they have every right to delete anything they wish. Its not a freedom of speech violation unless it is government censorship. Also, this has nothing to do with America vs. Canada either.
Dont believe me? Go to a lawyer and tell them you want to sue yahoo over this. They will laugh at you.

I really could'nt say for sure, but did you have a history on this site of making a point in what others felt was a rude and inconsiderate way? I've read some pretty crude "jokes??" on this site, and they weren't deleted, but from what you are telling us, what you implied should not have been deleted, because I have read worse!
What were the 11 points for? Had "that" response, or another~ been chosen for a favorite answer?

Along with freedom of speech/expression, you have the responsibility to use it appropiately. In this case, Yahoo has established rules to keep the forums acceptable for "General audiences" and from degeneragting into just mudslinging.
