Address her fears and emotions by being supporting and loving. NEVER tell her she shouldn't feel a certain way, even if it scares you. Her feelings are real. (ie: she expresses suicidal feelings- don't tell her not to feel that way, because you destroy the validity of her feelings. Instead, tell her how sad it would make you and reassure her that this experience is a bad one, but there are many other GOOD ones in her future. Also,There may be other girls in the future that she can help if they've been through the same thing)

Take her to a rape crisis center. They will need to collect evidence and she'll need you there with her because as gentle as they are, it's still scary.

Take her to see a PROFESSIONAL counsellor.

Resist the urge to get revenge. It's hard, but let the courts handle it. Take the situation to the authorities (the rape crisis center can help with all of that) and be as helpful as you can. Encourage your daughter to talk to the police, they may be able to get her statement through a recording taken by a female counsellor if it's easier fo her that way.

My reaction would be murderous. I am not sure I could control my rage. I would definintely pursue it to the fullest extent of the law and make sure that he had to register as a sex offender until he died if he didn't die in prison.

Not being as civilized as most people, my first reaction would be that I'm going to kill the sonofabitch who hurt my daughter.

My reactions would be to call the cops, find the kid that did it and...you know..., and to tell the child to be more careful, wise, etc.

go to a Doctor or Hospital and have your child checked immediately and then contact law enforcement, if the Doctor or Hospital has not done so already.
