While in a Food market--if you picked something up and then if you were almost ready to check out, you decided you did not want that item.Would you just leave it anywhere or would you go put it back where you got it?

I put it back. I took it why should someone else have to put it back. Telling the cashier you changed your mind would be alright to. But leaving something somewhere where it might go bad is just wrong. Especially if its something sacred like whipped cream. Id rather see a church burn than a good can of whipped cream go to waste. (Oh Lord I'm sorry about the church burning crack, I really didn't mean that please forgive me, amen.)

I agree with Mark on this one, I put it back where it belongs. I also worked in a grocery store as a teenager and appreciate how much those kid work for little pay. My hubby leaves it anywhere and I grab it to put it back, he thinks I'm a dork. Says it is job security what a bunch of.....Hey Mark, your on top lmao

If I'm already in the check-out line I usually will ask the cashier if I can leave the item with them.

I have left many a Twinkie box in the produce section. I get weak, then as I pass the brocolli, I find my will power...but who wants to walk back to the place of weakness?

I usually take it back where I found it! I was a grocery clerk as a teenager and hated finding stuff where they don't belong!

i tell the cashier and im such a dork i say do you want me to take it back? i would of course. but they say oh dont worry thats our job! it drives me crazy when you see the frozen food just hidden somewhere...........
