christians believe that Wicca is Devil Worship. Well I am a Witch and I don't believe in the devil. christians believe that the only way to eternal life is through the teachings of a dead carpenters son from Nazzareth.
As a Wiccan I believe that I am already eternal and that my spirit returns to the Summerlands to regenerate when my earthly life is over. This is what the christians hate about us. We have no rule books, no commandments and we don't have a church to go to.
We as Wiccans don't need to be "saved" from whatever it is they believe we need saving from.

I am a Christian, and I don't hate Wiccans. Some of my closet friends growing up were Wiccans. Why do you hate us? We are not supposed to judge; being Christians, even though we do.
From what I have seen, Wicca, if that's how you say it, is interesting, and mystical, or pretty. I feel the same way about the Catholic religion as well. There is no jealousy here, just curiosity. Some people, what ever religion, fear what they don't know or understand.

Some of my best friends are Christians and never say a bad word about me being Wiccan. It is a small minority that equate Wiccans with Devil worship (which as we don't actually believe in the Devil...)

Generally the ones you have to be careful of are the people who try to convert others who are minding there business walking down the street trying not to catch their eyes. Or the ones standing on street corners shouting about sin and how Jesus can save you.

I've noticed most Christians avoid them too.

No the majority of Christians respect your right to believe what you want to believe. Unfortunately there are still a few individuals out there who are scared of what they don't understand, (or bother to learn about).

Don't overgenerilize. I'm Catholic, and I have met really nice Wiccans. Not all Christians hate Wiccans. We do believe that the practice of Wicca shouldn't be practiced by us Christians, but personally, I can't judge anybody for what they believe.

I know some wiccans and other pagans in fact one of my friends is a pagan priestess. I also know some Christians but I have never heard any of them saying they hate wiccans. I think you either have a chip on your shoulder or you are feeling guilty about being a wiccan

Well after reading many of the answers, there are most definately NOT Wicca hating Christians here. I would like to thank them all for putting what they put. I am not christian, but am Wiccan, (the old Wicca). Maybe there are some that really do not like us because of the belief that it is all satanic,( my mum thought that too, thanks to tv etc, but i put her straight), as i have seen so many of them knocking Wiccans on here, but it doesn't bother me....but the ones who have answered have found that we are not like that at all, and thats great. Thanks guys. Why should it matter what we believe?, we can all mix, we each have our own personalties, and it's great being non judgemental. There is nothing to hate about us just because of our beliefs, as many of you have pointed out. :)

Some who truely believe the Bible and know it would not hate you but still see you as commiting a sin against their God! Wiccan's to most people are seen as Witches, White or Black witchcraft is irrelevant it's the term 'witchcraft' or 'magic' associated with it. The practise of witchcraft is mentioned in the Bible and God's followers are told to avoid the practise.
My Christian daughter would not hate you, she would accept your right not to believe in her God as she accepts mine. She would also see that to you it may be a religious belief but in a Goddess (not the Devil as some think) rather than a God but only because she knows a Wiccan and what it means to them to be one. Some people don't know of that side of it or want to know but it's general intolerance of differences not just beliefs. Your own remark is not very becoming of a True Wiccan, it shows hatefulness towards Christians which is wrong. Don't forget the three-fold rule!

Number one, Christians are called to love one another and not to hate. Number two, don't argue the theology of where Christianity comes from because I can tell you it did not come from a form of Wicca. Number three, Christianity is much older than Wicca. Wicca is a neopagan religion that was not brought out into the open until 1954 in the U.K. Number four, there is no single old pagan religion for all you obvious students of mythology. Celtic mythology is highly different from Classical and Norse mythologies, although there are similarities due to the fact that they are all Indo-European. Number five, how utterly arrogant it is to suggest Christians are jealous of other religions. There is no basis to either of your claims. Number six, there is more than one verse in the Bible that mentions the immorality of practicing magic. Read Deuteronomy please, it has all the laws. You'll find interesting stuff there. I leave you with this: Ignorance is not bliss, it will make a fool out of you and can endanger you at times. That wasn't a threat, but a warning. Do your research next time before you make grandiose statements.

I don't hate wiccans myself but many ignorent fools who don't do the research to find out what Wicca really is think witchs are evil creatures that make deals with the devil. Sadly they just go by someone's else's opions rather then do there own research on the subject to find out what Wicca really is.
I find Wicca facinating myself but I don't want to do it. Buying all that equptment for that sounds expensive. Plus there aren't any Wiccan's in the area where I live so it would be really lonely if I became one.

Nope, not jealous, never that. It is just that people have
a hard time accepting this. How can you deny the fact
that Jesus walked the Earth, when their is proof everywhere.
All the churches, Bible's, miracles, artifacts, and scientific
evidence, among other things. Most folks believe, so what
planet are you from ? Majority rules, and with reason.
Nobody is being brainwashed, humans choose to accept
these things. But we love everybody, even Wiccans. But
we do not like their ways. Serving idol gods, and stuff like
that. But it is all love, no hate.

I think you mistake fear for hatred. Genuine christians are not given to hating but many people fear things they don't understand, not just christians. As a wiccan ask yourself this question, why does it bother you, they have a right to live anyway they choose, believe anything they choose and hate anybody they choose, even you.
