Actually, its both phobia and obsession, which is not uncommon. The speed at which it has taken over your life indicates you must take action to stop your REACTION. This fear is only going to get worse and its already effecting your life and relationships...a big indicator of a problem. See someone before your fears begin to spread to other areas in your life. You need to get some help. I used to have a terrible phobia (I won't discuss it because you want to be thinking positive things at the moment). Like your own phobia, it just came from nowhere. It took me a long time to get over it because I didn't feel strong enough to ask for help. But you must.

There may be underlying reasons why you feel this way, so it would be wise to discuss your feelings with someone who can help you.

Checking ten cases to work out in case you became off the hair dryer and straightener sounds extra like an obsessive compulsive disease and could be extreme. i might want to have that regarded at if I were you. For me, my phobia is cockroaches. when I see one, it makes my abdomen turn.

You have a phobia. They will not hurt you, they are just looking for food. I think you should get some live traps and catch them, take a look at them in the cage and see how timid and harmless they are. Then let it go out in the woods.

I hope he got someone in to get rid of them. You need a systematic desensitisation programme - a gradual step by step approach which includes learning a relaxation technique.. Go ask your doctor for a referral. In the meantime get the exterminators in.

I would recommend EFT, this is something you can do yourself, it may look silly but I'm a qualified practitioner of EFT and it does work. I've used it to help clients suffering from all manor of phobia's and other problems.

I don't know if this will help. Why are you afraid of them? They are cute, with bright little eyes, they are small and furry, have adorable little expressive ears. They are very afraid of you because in their world, you might want them for dinner. They're tiny. If you put a little food out for one, it will come out and get it in it's little paws and turn it rapidly while it eats. They will even learn to come out if you tap your finger each time you put food out and wait until you have put it out. They are just a tiny little animal, and they can learn. And they really are cute.

Just know that mice aren't going to hurt you. Maybe consider getting a cat or two, maybe that will make you feel better.

Thaty should wear off as you were not phobic before. It is just a reasonable fear. If you really feel it is an obsession then try hypnosis.
