A DVD +/- RW drive can be used to read and write a CD or a DVD.
Using a DVD COMBO drive you can read and write CDs but onle read DVDs (you can't write DVDs).

No. DVD combo recods cds, but it will only read DVDs. If you want to burn DVD, you will need an external uSB or
firewire recorder. These can cost less than $50, if you buy when the price is right.

DVD combos write CDs but can only READ DVDs
DVD +/- RW can read and write DVDs.

A DVD+/-RW is to record and read both CD's and DVD's but I think a DVD Combo means it can read DVD's and only burn Cd's....

from a man or woman who used all of them, DVD+/-RW merely skill that your force is able to Writing/Burning DVD's. This force could helpful study and play DVD's too, DVD combination, in the different hand skill, that your force has the skill to "study any style of DVD, and to play any DVD video clips" and unable to writing any DVDs. yet they do have the skill to jot down the clean CD's. they're named for a reason, A dvd combination could have been stated as a DVD RW whether that's a dvd burner, why isn't it stated as that way ! particular you obtain it ...... because of the fact it extremely is not the DVD burner and its purely a Reader. wish my answer helped, sturdy luck.

A combo drive is a drive that can provide the functionality of the DVD+-RW and a CD+- RW. It can do it all.

Please ignore the people telling you can write DVDs with a DVD Combo drive.
What is correct is that a DVD Combo drive will read DVDs and is able to read and burn CDs.

So Long as the DVD unit can write, it can convert, and Combos usually do that
