Check out Wildwood if you're looking for a good time. The piers are packed full of rides (some of which are amusement-park sized!), it's not quite as hectic as Belmar/Point Pleasant/Seaside Heights, and there's a LOT to do in the area (30 minutes from Atlantic City, Cape May Zoo, etc).

I'm always partial to Atlantic City, not because of the gambling, but because of all the fun vacations there as a child.
