No, the pills wouldn't be much good if the only worked 3 out of 4 weeks now would they.?
Well that is to say it isn't any more likely that it is any other time during the month. BUT remember even when taken perfectly the pills still have a failure rate of between 2-5%. That means of each 100 women using the pill as their only method of birthcontrol 2-5 will get pregnant each year. If this is unacceptable to you use two methods of birth control. If you are AT ALL at risk for STDs use condoms (male or female)
Now take the booklet out of the box and read it again.
". Am I protected from getting pregnant during "inactive" pills?
Yes. As long as you have taken your pill correctly (at the same time, every day), you are still protected from unplanned pregnancies even when you are taking the placebo pills—or the green "inactive" pills—in the fourth week of your ORTHO TRI-CYCLEN LO pack.
The 28-pill pack contains 21 "active" pills (7 white, 7 light blue, and 7 dark blue; all with hormones) to take for 3weeks. This is followed by 1 week of "inactive" pills (7 green; all without hormones). "

Or read it here (Assuming you are American):
http://berlex.com/html/products/pi/fhc/Yasmin_PPI.pdf
Here is SOME of the info BUT YOU MUST GO READ THE WHOLE THING AND UNDERSTAND IT!!
WHAT TO DO DURING THE MONTH
1. TAKE ONE PILL AT THE SAME TIME EVERY DAY UNTIL THE PACK
IS EMPTY
Do not skip pills even if you are spotting or bleeding between
monthly periods or feel sick to your stomach (nausea).
Do not skip pills even if you do not have sex very often.
2. WHEN YOU FINISH A PACK OR SWITCH YOUR BRAND OF PILLS:
Start the next pack on the day after your last white “reminder” pill.
Do not wait any days between packs.
WHAT TO DO IF YOU MISS PILLS
If you MISS 1 yellow “active” pill:
1. Take it as soon as you remember. Take the next pill at your regular
time. This means you may take two pills in one day.
2. You do not need to use a back-up birth control method if you
have sex.
If you MISS 2 yellow “active” pills in a row in WEEK 1 OR WEEK 2 of
your pack:
1. Take two pills on the day you remember and two pills the next day.
2. Then take one pill a day until you finish the pack.
3. You MAY BECOME PREGNANT if you have sex in the 7 days after
you miss pills. You MUST use another birth control method (such
as condoms or spermicides) as a back-up for those 7 days.
If you MISS 2 yellow “active” pills in a row in the 3RD WEEK:
1. If you are a Day 1 Starter:
THROW OUT the rest of the pill pack and start a new pack that same
day.
If you are a Sunday Starter:
Keep taking one pill every day until Sunday. On Sunday, THROW
OUT the rest of the pack and start a new pack of pills that same day.
2. You may not have your period this month but this is expected.
However, if you miss your period two months in a row, call your
doctor or healthcare provider because you might be pregnant.
3. You MAY BECOME PREGNANT if you have sex in the 7 days after
you miss pills. You MUST use another birth control method (such
as condoms or spermicides) as a back-up for those 7 days.
If you MISS 3 OR MORE yellow “active” pills in a row (during the first
3 weeks):
1. If you are a Day 1 Starter:
THROW OUT the rest of the pill pack and start a new pack that same
day.
If you are a Sunday Starter:
Keep taking 1 pill every day until Sunday. On Sunday, THROW OUT
the rest of the pack and start a new pack of pills that same day.
If you forget any of the 7 white “reminder” pills in Week 4:
THROW AWAY the pills you missed.
Keep taking one pill each day until the pack is empty.
You do not need a back-up method.
FINALLY, IF YOU ARE STILL NOT SURE WHAT TO DO ABOUT THE
PILLS YOU HAVE MISSED:
Use a BACK-UP METHOD (such as condoms or spermicides) anytime
you have sex.
KEEP TAKING ONE ACTIVE PILL EACH DAY until you can reach your
doctor or healthcare provider

It is totally safe. The seven day rest period is , well, so you can HAVE a period. You honestly shouldn't have any problems so long as you follow the directions and honestly take them at the same time every day.
Just and idea, you could try to set the alarm on your cell phone to go off at a certain time each day to remind you that it's pill time.

No! You have that one week of white pills so that you have your period you still wont ovulate. But still pills are not 100% they are 99.9%. I've been on Yasmin for over 2 years now and have never had any problems.

No!!!!!!! The pills have done there job when taken correctly! The 7 day rest is when you should have a period, unless yasmine is differnt from ortho!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The pill is over 98% effective!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you want 100% use a condom, but if taken correctly, you should not have a worry!!!!!!!!!!!!

As long as you've been taking the pills for one month cycle already, you are protected - even during the 7 day break between cycles.
