I get payed once a month........
I think with what I have in savings I could miss 9. I could then pull from my investments...... with penalty of course *sigh*......but I think I could go at least a year or so.
Man..... after thinking about this.... running away to that island is sounding better and better!!!

Nice question. It is amazing to see how many people are living on the edge. What happens if an unexpected financial burden occurs (major car repair, medical/dental expense, home appliance breaks)? Most of the people posting really need an emergency fund...3 to 6 months living expenses.
I could survive fine for the 3 to 6 month range while missing a few paychecks. No more latte's or video games or liquor though.

Some people have a job (just over broke), I live in the status of actually being broke. So I am one paycheck away from being almost caught up. I am just honored that my bill collectors entrust me with the honor of passing my income to them.

I haven't worked in seven months now it time for a job so I guess eight months maybe longer who knows I can surive a long time with out a ton of new things I just get board without working
