top repulicans are jumping ship on bush on his war policy very fast now . he has been on the down swing since his re-election. If this surge tactic dosen't make it through, it dosn't look like he has much left of his presidency and still has 2 years to go. Do you think he will resign? whats he going to do?

I think he'll do the same thing that he has done since he has been in office...he will continue to do whatever he wants todo, regardless of what his cabinet tells him. He ignored the Iraq reports, along with so many other intelligent reccomendations. If the surge doesn't work out, maybe he'll add another surge, until we have no more militray here in the US. Then another country can attack us and prove his point that we have to stop terrorism~

The best thing for this country would be for him to resign!!!!!!

he will not resign. and the only reason rep are jumping ship is because of the 2008 elections. if only these guys, dem and rep, worried as much about doing the best job they can versus worring about being re-elected we all would be in much better shape.note, the surge is already approved in the budget and it will happen no matter what congress does, the money cannot be taken back. i am not sure why this is even being argued about except it is a way for some to distance themselves from bush.

I do not think he will resign if the surge fails. But, if the surge fails and one of the following happen he will step down... A)this Scooter Libby trial takes out Rove or Cheney; B) the media picks up on how we are failing in Afghanistan, much like Iraq; C) the cat gets out of the bag on who they are really spying on with Wiretapping; or D) another half-assed response to a natural disaster or terrorist attack.

Bush will stay in office.
If the Congress cuts funding to Iraq and troops are pull out before we are done than get hit by a terrorist group base there like 9/11.

Hell will be pay by Congress and all those who jump ship.

Why would he quit or change policies? He works for the oil companies not the American people.

I believe he will go down as the worse president in American history including Nixon.

Resign? I don't think so. I think you'll see a shift if the new policy works. Most of these politicians are like weathervanes.....whatever way the wind's blowing is good enough for them.

No, don't think he'll resign. Doesn't look good on the resume. I think he'll just trudge on as a lame duck president.....which he is.
