Nvidia Cards have the Software setting to Rotate the Screen, usually with a Key Short Cut. IF you have an Nvidia Card, Reinstall the Software and change it.
If you have another Card, just Uninstall the Software for Video and Monitor, reboot, and get set to reinstall both Card and Monitor Driver, that should fix it

Some graphics cards support the rotation and flipping of the screen. So dont worry about this problem. just adjust the rotation property in display settings.

if you are using WINXP then right click on desktop->properties->settings->advanced->tab named your graphics adapter like (Intel(r) Extreme Graphics)->Advance settings/Graphics Properties->rotation and then change the rotate degree 90 to normal.

The method of rotation depends a lot on the video card on your system.

The most consistent method is open the control panel.
Select "Appearance and Themes"
Select "Display"
(If you are in the classic view you won't see "Appearance and Themes")
Click on the "Settings" tab
Click the "Advanced" button
Click the "Rotation" tab
Set to "Standard Landscape" or whatever option is appropriate for you.
