We have yet to focus on the true heavy hitters. People with decades of experience as opposed to media favs.
Biden, Edwards, Warner, etc...

Everybody just take a deep breath.

True. (P.S. Edwards does not have "decades of experience." He's all flash and no substance.)
And then there are always the dark horses--people who are not in the public spotlight, but have good ideas or a good personality. (Clinton was sure like that in 1992; perhaps also would be Bill Richardson, the Gov. of N.M. who's been involved in national politics, or Tom Vilsack, the former Gov. of Iowa who has held many of the positions Clinton held in the Governor's conference, is also from a small state, is a middle-progressive, and has some interesting ideas, especially related to education and energy independence.)

Do I realize that the election is 2 years away? Well - 21 months actually. Ask anyone in politics - and they'll tell you that when running for office - there's a huge difference between 21 months and two years.

Do I get that "Hil and Obama" are not the only candidates? Sure. But - they are HISTORY MAKING candidates.

Every four years the candidates are widdled down to just two (or possibly three) who will be considered by the majority of voters. I think we should celebrate that MORE candidates are getting press. Although we do have more than two presidential candidates to choose from - there are only two major parties in this country that can afford presidential elections. It's so hard for anyone else to run. I'm always glad to hear about as many as possible in the press, before the elimination process begins.

No deep breaths for me! It's history - and I'm taking it all in!

Mark Warner already said he wasn't running.

Democrats' best hope, though. Edwards can't win.

I have a feeling the election in 2008 will be a choice between two uninspiring candidates. But that means it will lead to another razor-thin margin of victory for someone.

Yes, I know what you mean, but really, our country needs to worry about these sort of things, now! Who is really best to run our country? I dont think anybody is because no-one is perfect, all we can do is see if the good outweighs the bad in a person.
Personally I would like to see Michael Steele run for office, either that or Condoleezza Rice, don't know how popular she would be though.
I think Michael Steele ran a pretty good, and clean run for senator. And I think he could do the same for President, Any feedback on this?

You know what the hoopla is about...it's because they are two minorities - the b*tch because she's a woman and Obama because he's black (or is he biracial, I can't recall). Of course people are going to make a big deal out of it and it's only going to get worse so you may as well get used to it.

Edward didn't impress me last night with his answers and question of the bush rebuttal. he was babbling his anwers like he was afraid to say the wrong thing instead of saying what was really on his mind. this country need a president that say what he mean and mean what he say .
