Filipino expats are viewed by their foreign employers as:
Harworking;
Intelligent;
and Honest;
and i know Filipinos intend to maintain that reputation.
Now the reason why some non-filipinos look down on filipinos is STEREOTYPE. Now, THAT would take two thousand years to be completely erased...

I think its more of the condition of the country that people see. Correct if I am wrong, the western media plays a huge role in this. From the media, it is potrayed that filipinos are corrupt, gun toting, poor and uneducated. It is through this that people began to view them differently. Mistreated because they have low salary by local standard and if you are not satisfied with the helpers you can just return them to employment agency and get a new helper within weeks. As for the marriage part, I dont know.

I think yeah, that's a normal first impression people make nowadays. Maybe because Filipinos started coming to our countries as maids. But I think this is slowly changing now as there are loads of Filipino singers and show performers.
I'm not Filipino, that's just an observation

Wherever you got that idea? I am white American and I love filippinos. They are nice people. They are so homely and treat their husbands with respect.
Don't go by what others say. Experience it for yourself.
Where I have problem with culture from Asia is that they are so attached to their families, all the money their husbands give goes directly to their parents. Eventually, they move in. I know many of my friends married to Thais, Fillippinos regret it later.
It is not like what they promised at the beginning.

people vary. foreigners of what nationality? wherever you go there will always be some obstacle you will have to face. but yes it happens sometimes so be careful. and marriage is about love so dont worry... if it comes it'll come. just try to be as realistic as possible whenever you face something.
