Is there a way to detect someone accessing your macintosh via a lan, wan or via internet?

check inside your firewall. most have a tool to let you know and to stop it. good luck.

Good news! Unless you are using some sort of file sharing software like Limewire, chances are No One is accessing your Mac but you.

First thing to do is go to System Preferences (under the apple menu in the upper left) then click on sharing and make sure everything is unchecked that you do not want checked. (For example, make sure "remote desktop" is unchecked.) Then turn on the firewall.

The link below leads to a software application that will tell you when any thing is happening on the In/Out ports. It will tell you when your web browser is accessing the web. But it can also tell you if any invisible programs on your computer are doing the same thing. Invisible programs might include things like automatic software updaters for programs on your mac.
