Yesterday, my girlfriend had a pregnancy scare. Thank god the test came back that she was NOT PREGNANT. I am only 23 and just out of college, I want to be a father eventually, but I think I am way too young. Has anyone had a scare. What would you have done if it came back Positive??

I am a student 16 years old from Cyprus. If you "make" children then u have at the same time the responsibility as the biological father to offer your child the best world you can. If you don't want children when you are young use condoms or any other measure to prevent pregnancy. My father was 25 and my mother was 22 whaen i was bon. However i have classmates and young teachers that their mother gave birth to them from 16-20 and their father at about the same age and all lived happily.

I didn't ever have a scare because i was on birth control. I wanted to get pregnant at age 21. My husband and i planned my pregnancy. You should remember how bad you were scared when she took that pregnancy test and start using condoms from now on and tell her to get on birth control or you will have another scare again but maybe next time it will be positive.

There is always a chance it was a false negative, meaning she could still be pregnant and just hasn't built up enough preg. hormones to show up on a test. If you are this scared I suggest you take action next time to prevent this kind of "scare" again. You are definitely too young to have children and finding a job out of colllege is hard as hell. Until she gets her period you are not out of the woods.

If you get a psoitive, you'll just have to excpet responsibility and be parents like everyone else!!!!! It probably is scary when it is not planned and you are not ready so, the best advice I can give you is use protection and hope it works!!!!! The pill is almost 100%, so that would be her best bet!!! Otherwise condoms with spermicide used is just as good!!!!!!!!! That scare will definitely make you both be careful and I hope you do not have any more close calls until you are ready!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had a baby when I was 21 and it took me unitl I was 25 to finish college...

Trust me when I say you are too young. Be more careful.
Although I love my son and would not cahnge a thing, It was really unfair for me to try and raise my son when I was stillt rying to figure out how to raise myself.

Seriously - be more careful. Talk with your girlfriend about her expectations and make sure you are both on the same page. And even though you love her, never take just her word on birthcontrol. Make it your responsibility too.

I know I've had plenty scares before. I was just in high school (12th grade tho) and even times after that I still do. Especially with my boyfriend who just acts like he can't have another child because of his crazy baby momma ruining his life and I suppose he believes I'd do the same. Still, things aren't good enough between me and him for me to want to have his child.

The scare is good in that it'll wake you up to always using contraceptives in the future.....
