Heroin and LSD are difficult to function on (for most).

Cocaine use was the most publicized I beleive. then again, there is a picture of Joe Walsh displaying a bong on the back of a James Gang album, so its probably BOTH cocaine and pot.

I would guess LSD, judging by Joe Walsh's stammer these days when he is speaking. That or Cocaine. I dunno to be completely honest.
