From the asker because it makes me feel that I have actually been of some help in solving their problem or given them a laugh on the silly questions I answer with a silly response.

From the asker it will be more intimate and personal :D
From the voters means you are more favorable towards other people.

Because generally the askers only want P.C. answers. You know something soft and fuzzy that makes them feel all tingly.
