I took a generic pregnancy test, at first it seemed I had an invalid answer. Then the next morning I looked and it was positive. Any suggestions, am I?

what is an invalid answer? a light line? A line is still a line and usually means positive. I know they say if you let it sit too long it invalidates the results but i kept both of my positive pregnancy tests as keepsakes (a little odd i know, dont worry they are sanitarily kept in ziploc bags lol) and they still read positive.
I would take another one to be sure but my guess is that you are probably pregnant
Congratulations

Do not read the test in the trash can. Get you another test and read it within the 5-10 minute time frame. If not the results are invalid because it causes an evaporation line. Get another pregnancy test and read it within 1-3 minutes or whatever that test says. Or just go to the doctor and have a blood test done.
Always read the directions. They tell you not to read it after the time frame because this can cause a false positive. It is one of the only things that can cause false positives other than early miscarriage (you have reg period but the egg never implants correctly) or you have had fertility treatments containing hcg. Even though it may be negative assume the first if it was really faint is positive and start prenatals and get to the doctor. They will confirm it so you will not be in doubt any more.

Most pregnancy tests say you should look at them within 10 minutes. After that you cannot trust the reading. The first pregnancy test I took there was to be 2 lines if you were pregnant. I saw a very very faint second line and thought it was a fluke. So I waited two days and took another. I got a brighter second line this time. I was pregnant!

You need to read the test when the directions tell you to. It can be invalid because it sat overnight.

You probably are, but take another test. Why did you think it was invalid?
