Well, sometimes you can just like something or think its alright but you dont have to always be completely passionate or super interested in doing them. Its perfectly normal to feel this way, you know, so dont worry, ok?

Oh and you know the reason you cant pretend to be interested in something that you´re not is bcuz you´re being true to yourself. And thats a good thing, so dont ever change that, alright?

Good luck, Im sure that you´ll find something that´ll spark your interests. :)

What certain things are you talking about? Things people you know are interested in? Just make it your goal to explore as many, diverse areas as possible. Look into EVERYTHING, from skydiving to art & music to volunteering at a summer camp. Go to a library and stroll around, looking at all the various stuff. Maybe you're not interested in doing certain things because your world is too small and limited. Open it up! I'm sure you'll find something that ignites your interest, but it isn't going to just fall out of the sky into your lap. You have to expose yourself to many different subjects and ideas. Good luck! It's great you asked this question!

You need to give yourself a good swift kick in the butt. If you find the dynamics of that particular act difficult, ask a friend, or even a total stranger to do it for you.

Start looking at the now and shake the shroud of pessimism that hangs over you. I've know quadriplegics that have a rosier outlook on life! Now get out there and mingle with the world! You may just drag someone else up from their rut in life on the way.

I feel exactly the same...I like all sorts of things and I'm interested in them but find it hard to get motivated to do anything about any of them. I guess maybe we're afraid of failing at any of those things...afraid of the disappointment that MAY arise. Maybe we're a little bit depressed ? Sometimes it's hard to stay focused...maybe we are slightly ADD ? I do sometimes tend to always find the negative aspects of anything on the forefront of my mind...like thinking about trying some new job or career. I'll find something about it that prevents me from going for it. The only thing I've really let myself get close to is the dream of becoming a writer. I recently bought some books that teach you how to become a writer or a more creative one. I am practicing some. I always wanted to play the guitar but didn't take it too seriously. I've not made myself take lessons but it's something I'd love to be able to do. I'm afraid I'll not be able to do it and I don't want to waste my time, but if you think about it...we're wasting our time doing nothing when we could have at least tried something we like. It's hard to break this cycle of thinking. We need guidance and discipline !!!

go away for a while, your organism and brain need some different feeding. Go far away for a few days or, if you can't, just go for a long walk and discover streets you've never seen before, you'll be thinking about something else rather quickly and your problem will be solved...You can expect a huge difference after.
