All one has to do is to read the news to see the state of the union, the union is divided. We need to focus more on our own countries issues and less on trying to make other countries into what we feel they need to be, little US of A clones.
The best exit strategy I can think of is the exit of George W Bush from the white house, and getting a leader instead of an instigator.

The state of New Orleans is low--- that is below sea level. What do you expect? And what did the state's governor do? He said Boo-hoo for black people but left the school busses parked. It is STATE'S responsibility to handle evacuation and conitgency plans. Could the federal government have done better? Sure, but there was much more room for improvement in the state's actions.
Katrina is just a drum beat by liberals.
HIV/AIDS is under control on this continent. Perfect? No, but thanks for asking.
Exit strategy for Iraq? Anything has got to be better than cutting and running, leaving a gaping hole in the middle east to be filled by its neighbor, Iran.
You can despise that we are in Iraq but you can't ignore that we are there. If you believe leaving it to the terrorists is the best answer I can't help your denial.

The state of the union is good. Did you have the volume down ?
New Orleans is improving but still has challenges as its below sea level, not a good sound choice for homesteading,
HIV stats are improving, but safe sex is still prudent.!
Late edit- Some folks prefer division to cohesion , but the union is undivided here!! Our government has always had diverse view points, & on my block we realize democracy doesn't mean every decision will be exactly what I want.
Excited by having Nancy Pelosi as Speaker, but I think I'm supposed to hate & revile her because I still have respect for President Bush & apparently it's no longer acceptable for me to embrace elected officials w conflicting views.. who cares I.m an American

aids has never been a priority in this country, but at least it isn't completely ignored anymore. i would post what needs to happen here in regards to aids, but it would do no good.

we won't have an exit strategy until bush is out of office. the only thing the man has done successfully is put this country in debt, ruin what was left of our image, and not fix any of our problems here at home.

Watch the news that is what he responded to. And the rest of your questions are all answered on the news. If he had addressed all your questions you wouldn't have been satisfied anyway.

Bush and his cohorts do not care about the state of the union.
They care about power and profit - the topics he spoke on.
