Disagree. A gold ring is just a symbol. Like a piece of paper. The best gifts a man can give his wife are love, honor, respect, companionship, understanding, loyalty, laughter, listening, communication. These things come from within and are priceless.

His love and attention is the best gift a man can give to his beloved wife. If he does that well, then any thing he gives her will be precious.
If he doesn't - then it really doesn't matter. Diamonds, gold, new cars, houses - without love and care and attention, the rest is just stuff.

I take it you mean on her wedding day?? It is only the start. The bow on the gift of knowing he will be faithful, take care of her, provide for her and subsequent children, love her always and respect their relationship. The wedding is only the first day of the rest of your journey through life so the ring is only jewellry, it is what it represents that is important.

No...in my opinion the best thing any man can give his wife is the knowledge that he loves her deeply, respect, trust, faithfulness and support. Good sex and lots of laughs sure doesn't hurt being in the mix. ;o) Your heart is more important that anything you could ever give her materialistically.
