What is the best way to show someone right from wrong? Does prison work for people or does it just make them worse? How does a criminal truly reform to see the error of its ways?

addendum: I remember seeing Mike Tyson come out of prison saying that he had found God. Maybe a figurehead who's a decent role model could give people some pride in the quality of their behaviour. Admittedly then Tyson went and bit someones ear off. Talk about frustration. I'm just glad that the tennis net separates the two players from whacking each other with their bats. Not that McEnroe plays any more...

I watched an episode of Dr. Phil where kleptomaniacs claimed to be rehabilitated in prison therapies programs. But in reference to the first answerer they have prov en that gays are born that way. I don't know what some body's life style has to do with criminal activity! I read that a lot of these people that are so hostile toward gays have repressed gay tendencies them selves.

You can't change somebody from what they are to something you want them to be. Come on don't the gay people say that they are born that way and you cannot change them? Can't we say that criminals are in the same group? To be PC, like we are forced to be in this new peace loving liberal world, shouldn't we just accept them as they are? Who are you to say they need to be rehabilitated, I mean I'm offended by that. These thieves, murderers, rapists, molesters, ect... they were born that way and that is who they are. They should march and protest and have parades like the gays do, or the mexican aliens, or the black panthers or the KKK. Come on this is who they are and only a horrible right-winger would try to call them different or bad. They are merely legally-challenged. No go and attempt to force somebody else to conform to your rules.

the answer to this question is simple. We need equality on the money front. I.e POVERTYIS A MUTHA F*CKA. that is the only way you can change people...give them more money and then they wouldnt have to steal, rape ,murder , molest. Its the government to blame again. They want every body to abide by the rules bat they wont allow free enterprise. We dont even have a free press in this country because its against the rules to be un pc. A truly free press lets you speak your mind and if people dont like it they should switch off. alas that is never going to happen in our lifetime as we are just wee sheep who will keep doing as we are told. Long live Kleptomaniacs. They cant be re-habillitated until we Globalise ourselves and LIVE AND LET LIVE.
