My best guy friend has been madly in love with me for like 3 years now... we tried to date a couple years ago, but it only lasted a week cuz i don't feel the same way. I'm still the only one he's ever dated or slept with. It seems like nothing I say or do gets the message to him that I don't like him like that. I don't want to lose him as a friend, but it's really not healthy for him to be obsessing over me like this. Not to mention, I'm engaged to a friend of his & I think it hurts him to see us together, even tho he won't say it. What should I do?

My fiance knows about the situation, but he doesn't know what to do either. He's tried to find his friend a new gf, but he's not having any luck w/ it. :(

if he is really your best friend{guy} then he should understand b/c you now have a lyfe of your on and I don't think that the person your engaged with is very fond of that either. So either try to talk some sense into him or you lose a friend or risk your relationship

Well, since you have make it clear to him that you don' like him and he still clings on to you. What you can do is to avoid him like plague. Or find a new BF and show him. You already said he is madly in love with you so give him some timeto gorget you. He is a poor guy!

You need to cut yourself off from him entirely. You can't keep him as just a friend cuz he'll never consider you just a friend. You should also tell your fiance (unless you cheated on him with this friend) that he's acting like this cuz he's making it hard for everyone!

He doesn't want you as a friend. He wants you as his lover. That is never going to change. You must consider that when you get married the situation between you is going to turn ugly. He may even try to sabotage your marriage. What is more important to you? Is it the man you love, or your friendship with a man who loves you? One of them has to go.
I'm sorry that that sounds ugly, but it is the truth.

THAT 'S A TOUGH SITUATION IF I'VE EVER HEARD ONE. YOU CAN ONLY TELL HIM THE TRUTH ON HOW YOU FEEL AND IF HE CAN NOT EXCEPT THAT THAN MAYBE PUTTING SOME DISTANCE BETWEEN YOU WOULD BE THE BEST THING TO DO. ESPECIALLY SINCE YOU ARE ENGAGED TO HIS FRIEND.

Tell him that he is making you feel uncomfortable and that you will never have those kinds of feelings for him. If he continues you must cut him off as a friend and ask him to refrain from seeing you.
