Bloodworms are mosquito larvae....

I would try putting in some pellets or flakes in with the bloodworms. Maybe he'll accidentally grab one of the other foods and decide he likes it.

Sometimes it takes them a while to recognize something else as food. I like Randy's suggestion, but be sure to do lots of water changes if the beta is leaving lots of uneaten food! Fish can go days and days without food btw. Sometimes its actually good for them. Cleans out their system. If you switch foods make sure it corresponds with their required diet! cheers

I believe that you can still find frozen mosquito larvae, the natural food for Bettas. Also in warm weather you can net live ones from rain water containers out of doors, just don't bring too many into the house at one time. Don't ask how I know this.------PeeTee

I own a pet shop so get to feed hundreds of them. Usually they come from breeders who have grown them on bloodworms but once they are comfortable in their new set-ups they will take to pelleted foods (try hikari Betta bio-gold , i have one almost 6 years old on it) these are easy to use as you can control how much you feed him (easy to count pellets compared to flakes) overfeeding is what can pollute his water and kill him
