Just wondering. I know when ur preg they take the very first day of your last period and thats how they tell you how many weeks preg u are. But can they really say " on such and such date you made your baby"???

no, they cant know exactly when, all they can tell you is it was most likely on one of these few days. If you keep track of when you had sex though then you can look back at those few days and try to figure out the exact day. The "birth date calculator" can tell you the most likely day of conception but the formula they use is 14 days from the first day of your last period. (Mine was Oct. 13 so my most likely day of conception was Oct 27) and they estimate the due date 9 months and 7 days after first day of period (mine is July 20)

The dr. can't give an exact date, but the ultrasound is more accurate. When I was pregnant with my last baby, the dr. gave me a date of 11/12/05 when I conceived and according to the ultrasound it was 11/17/05.

Like everyone said they go off by the first day of your last period and the use a little circle calculator. When they do the ultrasound and the measurements say further or less development they adjust from there.

Actually I told the dr. the exact date that I conceived, and he agreed with me. New Yrs Eve 04. lol That was the only time that I could of got pregnant.

no thats why they ask you the first day of your last period they do measure to try and see how far along you are if you dont remember your period!!

I don't think they can give you an exact date and know for sure. I do know that they can give you a guestimate on what day.
