Does your water break when you are 100% effaced?

No, not necessarily. Effacing is the more difficult part of the changing of the cervix, though, so usually by the time you're 100% effaced, you are well on your way to being dialated, and the dr may've broken your water already.

Not necessarily...I was 100% effaced and at 9 centimeters, and the doctor had to break my water for me.

i was 100% effaced and i was at 7 and they STILL had to break my water lol with both my kids :)
