I don't think anyone is going to disagree that terrorism is a horrible thing. The thing is though....we must know WHO the terrorists are! If more people would do the research with an OPEN mind......you would be horrified to know just who was responsible for 9-11. But to verify those facts...you need to start out by reading the Northwood Papers. Those should help you open your eyes. In order to stop the terrorism here.....there needs to be a revolt in the streets and a march on Washington.

One point about UK terrorism which seems often to have been overlooked, is that so far, the terror attacks upon us have come from 'home grown' terrorists and not from terrorists operating from abroad. It is probably true that terrorist groups operating in UK are being 'managed' and financed from outside UK but so far I have seen little or no hard evidence to back up such a claim.
Something else which really does puzzle me, is the rise in the number of people, now 60%, who believe that a National Identity Card scheme will somehow put an end or reduce terrorist attacks. Most EU countries (if not all of them) have national ID cards, yet they still have terrorist attacks. Spain is one example of where terror attacks took place in Madrid which resulted in a complete change of government.
The terrorists who wish to do us harm, hide behind a pseudo-religious philosophy based upon what they claim is Islam. The main reason for this line of thinking, is based upon the belief that what they see as the Western way of life and Western values, swamping their own values system. There is quite a lot of truth in this and typically, Iran is a very good example of this. Iran for all of it's rhetoric is not nearly so much of an Islamist Republic that it makes out. The vast majority of students leaving university in Iran with degrees are women. In other words, if it were true that Iran follows the disconnected and evil thinking of al-Kaidah, why are they sending 'girls' to school, who become 'women' who go to university? Iranian women have considerable rights in Sharia Law - a system of law much maligned in the West which most of us know little or nothing about.
In truth, the more you know about 'other people' and their 'cultures' the less you have to fear. The fear and what follows, is hyped up by the various warlike mullahs who fear that their 'flocks' will no longer follow them once they have 'seen' and [God forbid] experienced the Western way of life with all of its freedoms and liberties.
In the West we have something which the Islamists hate. Its called 'freedom, liberty and democracy'. Never let any of this go.

Terrorism is what people do when they can't afford an army. Want to stop terrorism? One word: philanthropy.
5,000 children die every single day from lack of clean drinking water. 16,000 children die every single day from hunger. That's 21,000 children every day. Imagine if every single day there were SEVEN 9-11s, day after day without end. Now imagine that someone knew 9-11 was going to happen and had the power to do something about it, but didn't. They went shopping instead and bought a bunch of cr@p they didn't need: stuff that would be landfill in a year.
We have 7 September 11ths every single day as children die from lack of the two most basic necessities of life, after air: clean water and food. We're not even talking about shelter. Just food and water.
And what do we do? We go shopping. Each new weekend brings another record-breaking profit at the cinema. The average American (I have to use America because I'm American and I don't know the statistics for other countries), spends (at last count) $600 per person on Christmas presents. More than 1/3rd of Americans are obese: not just 'overweight', 'obese'. We'll spend $600 on Christmas presents, but not $300 to end world hunger. We'll spend $300 on an X-box, but not $150 on clean water initiatives. We'll spend $50 a month on movies and McDonald's, but not $20 a month to save dying children. We'll spend $360 billion on WAR, that could have funded global hunger relief for 15 years, or given basic immunizations to every child in the world for 120 years. $360 billion for war. How many schools could we have built? How many roads? How many wells could we have dug? We aren't willing to save the world, but we're willing to spend record amounts of money to alternately entertain ourselves and kill others. If the 100,000 richest Americans would give $100 to global relief, that would be $10,000,000 a year. If half of 1% of the American people gave $100 a year, that would be about $150 million a year! That's less than 28 cents a day. And what if they skipped a coke and gave 75 cents a day? A little over $5 a week? That would be more than $400 million a year.
Want to stop terror? Maybe we need to realize that the world beyond our borders is filled to the brim with hungry, desperate people with nothing to lose ... and then do something about that.

My view is that it took a long time for terrorism to take hold in Pakistan and it's going to take a long time to solve the problem. The Pakistani Army uses fundamentalism to assert its own legitimacy as an institution and as part of a security doctrine to pressure India via proxy. We in the West turned a blind eye to these policies because it was the lesser of two evils; especially since Pakistan was an ally during the Cold War. I'm from Australia.

One mans terrorist is another mans freedom fighter.
You can never fight terrorism because it comes from within the individual. Thats why the strike on Afghanistan was a disgrace.
In the shadowy world of the secret service, the public can never know who is behind the terrorism anyway. Ever heard of false flag operations?
'killing innocent people' - you mean like dropping bombs on playgrounds. Try looking in other peoples backyards other than your own.

Yes, terrorism should be stopped but the problem is one mans terrorist is another mans freedom fighter.
It is a hard lesson to learn but the politicians may finally be learning ti. If you improve the conditions of the people, there is more of a chance that the next generation would not choose to become terrorists

No way to stop it. Nelson Mandela was a terrorist leader, after 27 years in prison he was released, and his first statement was "The armed struggle (terrorism) must continue".
Now the ANC has stopped such action and is considered to be a legitimate political party. When Al-Queda is also allowed to compete in elections, there will be another group to contend with.

Before we can stop it we need to look at and stop what causes it.Poverty, greed, differences of belief, lack of respect for human life, plain old despiration of one kind or another. It will take alot of serious soul searching and desire to change the situation, to get a handle on this problem.Violence is not the answer, the victims are usually innocent bystanders.People need to look inside themselves and do what they can to stop the causes.Every one alive was given a gift to live.It should be as happily and peacefully as possible. We should stop trying to overpower eachother and start HELPING eachother. That is the way to end terrorism.

i agree that killing innocent people is purely sick and unjustified....
but those terrorists are people who have stronger agendas and wants to get their message across..ie stop meddling with other country's affairs..let them be..let each country think about themselves than spying on others or trying to make a democracy in another country.then all the terrorists activities will stop.any country cannot just go and bomb another country, and kill civilians including children...isnt that sick-minded...how is that justified.?
i dont support terrorism nor do i support war for silly reasons.who's with me to try and stop war?

terrorism is the very opposite of justice. if we can strive to establish social justice in our countries then the problem of terrorism will be much solved. as long as the issues of poverty, discrimination, oppression, inequality, racism, religious extremism etc etc are not properly and seriously addressed then we will continue to face the terrorists. maybe this is the way mother nature rectifies the imbalances that exist.
