Your school has what is called a firewall.
A firewall is an information technology (IT) security device which is configured to permit, deny or proxy data connections set and configured by the organization's security policy. Firewalls can either be hardware and/or software based.
A firewall's basic task is to control traffic between computer networks with different zones of trust. Typical examples are the Internet which is a zone with no trust and an internal network which is (and should be) a zone with high trust. The ultimate goal is to provide controlled interfaces between zones of differing trust levels through the enforcement of a security policy and connectivity model based on the least privilege principle and separation of duties.
So basically you cant access myspace unless you are in cahoots with the system administrator/operator...

This isn't an "extra" comment - it's my primary comment.
Those blocks are put on for a reason and we're sorry if you don't like them. However, the intent is to protect the majority of kids from the less than desireable people that are on Myspace.
You are using resources paid for by the taxpayers in your community! Why don't you respect the fact that those people are providing you with a good education and simply adjust yourself a little and simply live by the rules.
As a person who is required to spend thousands of dollars a year in taxes to educate everybody else children, it really pisses me off to see ungrateful kids like you who simply do nothing but try to take advantage of the things we set up for all the other kids who want and need to use the resources provided to them.
Grow up a little and respect the rules. Guidelines and rules will be with you all through your life, so get used to that fact!
Not being able to access Myspace from the school computers is not the end of life as you know it.

you should use a proxy yet dont get cought because they are going to locate something on ur myspace to get you for someone were given arrested at my college for there pal who had a lager can in his hand it wasnt even his
