Is it the case that creative people may be able to achieve more in a certain kind of environment and not achieve anything or very little in a different kind of environment. I know this is a tough one, but if environmental factors do have an impact, what could be the factors that make a difference. By environmental factors I mean everything, including social conditions as well as availability of funds etc.

I am a very creative person and I am not wealthy. I have had to figure out how to do make or create the beautiful things that other people just hire some one to do or just buy. I do feel that economics are a factor in creativity. Emotional environment is also a factor though, because if there is alot of negativity around me, I can't work as well or get any original ideas. It's like it kills my imagination or something. I like quiet when I'm trying to come up with an original design, then after I have my idea, I like to listen to music while I create my idea. The music helps for some reason, it relaxes me. I have another thought for you, how about physical health? If I'm sick, My mind goes wild with ideas. I suppose it is because I really can't do anything else but rest and think. I have to write my ideas down so I can remember them later when I actually feel like doing it, but I have great ideas when I'm sick. Weird huh?

Absolutely!

Funding : If you don't have a range of material then your creativity may be limited. It's possible though that in some ways you become more creative having to use whatever you have around you.

Family : I think family can influence creativity by introducing children at a young age to less narrow ways of thinking and by providing materials for them to experiment with.
How families communicate with their offspring influences ways of seeing the world etc.

If there is not much space in the home it can be difficult to be creative physically and also mentally if there is a lot of noise that a child cannot get away from.

School : I've been into some schools where nothing is displayed on the walls and materials are limited. Some teachers are not very creative in teaching style and lesson plans.

The rather narrow curriculum, in my opinion does not lend itself to creativity and we stifle our children by regurgitating the same themes year after year. Most subjects are academically based and with the confines of the curriculum there is often not much opportunity to develop creative thinking.
I am a teacher and this has always frustrated me.

I feel that more philosophy and creative opportunities would really benefit children to widen how they think. Sadly art, craft etc. is rather marginalised in favour of the so called more academic subjects.

Hope that helps.

I am a creative artist and find my environment very important to me. I moved to my present address for clean Air beauty and space - not for a social life.I have made my whole living environment matte white not to copy or reproduce John Lennon's work but to get rid of unwanted input coming in. I have a mental health difference and lose creativity when I am confused overwhelmed and distracted by meaningless stimuli I am socially expected to respond to.I live on a cliff edge looking out to sea and islands and the stars are visible at night due to low light pollution. All these elements are very grounding and allow me to access my own creativity which I think of as another state of being - lost and found in a focus.

Yes i think that the enviroment surrounding a person definitely has an impact on his/her level of creativity. Bcuz for example, a child who´s really creative and likes to draw, may love doing this but if his/her parents are always fighting, there would be this sad, depressing and hostile feeling around her all the time, and so she would be too stressed out and upset to be able to practice her creativity.

We know from research that environment has a strong bearing on human growth and development. Exposure to an environment with innovations provokes the mind to think further and discover/invent more. It has been said that people athwart the equitor are not as developed as those living further north and south. I posit that the hot temparatures around the equator possibly contributes to laxity of mind and thus hampers creativity and innovativeness.

particular. The mutuality of impact between environment and genetics seems to have not any set obstacles. a solid character can conquer adversity, yet maximum run out of time and on no account comprehend their ability and maximum of be afflicted by somewhat some psychic weaknesses, that take a protracted time to overcome, that their creativity all is going into soreness decision..

I would think so, directly. If you're depressed for some reason, your creativity might be completely gone, while if you're in a good mood ideas may flow good and you'll be more creative. Being poor may make you more creative (or using a limited palette/objects) because you can't buy them you have to 'find' them. I think this type of art is the neatest. Etc. Etc.

I think it does. Imagine being a musician or a painter, and going to some nice exotic place to be creative, do you think your new environment would not inspire you?
