I thought Jim Webb's speech was very good and at least he was able to give it with some authority. Authority earned by serving honorably in the military and his son having the balls to serve also. You don't see Bush's spoiled kids doing anything to help out in any kind of way. The last thing you will ever see is a Bush kid serving in the real Military. Georgie wants to win the war but not by taking chances with any of the Bush kids anywhere.

Yeah, I did. I don't really mind Webb (currently residing in Virginia).
But Holy Cow! He might be the second worst speaker in the US behind Bush.
Such awkward pauses. And what was the deal with him almost laughing through the last third of his speech? Just very odd.

His stump speech! Dem's hoped America would understand/forgive Cut and Run from one whose own son was and will again be in the conflict. Apparently you only hear what you want to hear.
