Honestly, I don't think either one has it any easier than the other. Both face some pretty serious issues.
Men can't really do anything right in the eyes of society. If they're friendly, they're too friendly (ie, sexual harrassment). If they're aloof, their cold and heartless. The poor guys can't win! They are forced to hold their emotions back, which leads to an early death. They are very limited in a lot of facets, from fashion to hobbies. (A man who collects dolls is seen as "gay" but a woman who collects comic books is still seen as feminine and straight.) Worst of all, to be taken seriously at work, they have to attend with a nooses around their necks! (Okay, I know it's called a tie, but come on, it's a noose.)
Women, while versatile, still have it pretty hard. Sure, we have more rights, but most of us are being forced into the workplace. Those who choose to be traditional and stay home tending to the house and kids are often shunned by others. In our quest for fair treatment (ie, the right to vote, the right to have a say-so in the lives of our children, the right to own property, the right to not be beaten by our husbands, etc.) we have ended up acting more like men than women. Either extreme is not good.
So, in short, I think both genders have it rough. It would be best if we just all realize that each gender is important and that each individual should have certain rights, regardless of gender.

Your average adult male is doomed to fail. Everything we do is viewed as racist, chauvinistic, or not politically correct. Hello gets turned into "He touched my breast", and it doesn't matter if the woman is lying, the man then becomes a target for life. The game of pool is now starting to get away from solids or stripes because that is racist...the pool balls are now "swirly"....so to answer your question, men have it harder, because black males also get crapped on by women...I love women, but I hate them just as much sometimes...

I think women because now we have more and more sick little girls because they are trying to live up to the superficial standards of Hollywood. They want to look beautiful. Our image of beautiful is whatever hollywood is wearing doing or eating even if it is nothing.
Anorexia and Bolemia.
Those are the greatest enemies of young girls and women now.
