Hi Y'all! How could you tell the difference between the genders in German language?

I'm a beginner in German, and it's gonna be my fourth language.
Please help me! Genders really make my head spin#!****%&^

It would take too long to explain it here, but I've found a nice document with all the basic rules. Don't start reading till page 16 (this is where the basic rules for determing the gender starts).
